MicroStrategy Incorporated, doing business as Strategy, acquired 6,220 Bitcoin at an average price of $118,940, with a total value of $739.8 million between July 14 and 20, according to a filing submitted by the company to the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
A total of 1,636,373 of the company's common shares were sold during the same period for $736.4 million, in addition to STRK, STRF, and STRD At-The-Market (ATM) shares, which were used to fund the purchase.
The amount of Bitcoin currently held by the American business intelligence company reached 607,770, at an aggregate price of $43.61 billion, for approximately $71,756 per Bitcoin. The company's shares rose 1.81% at 8:33 am ET after the filing's release, to sell for $423.22 apiece.
