MicroStrategy buys 10,107 Bitcoin for $1.1B

MicroStrategy Incorporated bought an additional 10,107 Bitcoin for approximately $1.1 billion in cash between January 21 and January 26, the company revealed in its Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing on Monday.

The company acquired Bitcoin at an average price of approximately $105,596 per Bitcoin, including the fees and expenses. It used proceeds from the sale of its shares after it sold an aggregate of 2,765,157 shares for $1.1 billion.

According to the filing, Microstrategy and its subsidiaries currently own 471,107 Bitcoin, which were bought at an aggregate price of approximately $30.4 billion, or approximately $64,511 per Bitcoin. The company also revealed that as of January 26, about $4.35 billion of shares are available for sale.
