The Ministry of Health in Gaza said on Friday that an airstrike on the Osama bin Zaid School in the Al-Saftawi neighborhood in north Gaza City, carried out by Israeli forces, left at least 20 people killed and dozens of civilians wounded.
According to the ministry, the UN-run school served as a shelter for internally displaced Palestinians. The surviving civilians were taken to the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza City.
Earlier in the day, the Israeli military struck an ambulance near the Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza, claiming that it was being used by Hamas.
