Moderna Inc. announced Monday that it has selected Harwell Campus in Oxfordshire, England, as the new place for a new Moderna Innovation and Technology Center (MITC).
The development comes after ten years of strategic partnership between the company and the UK government, as stated by the same company on Twitter. In addition, Moderna said that the new initiative will "create hundreds of jobs during construction and operation."
The new facility will provide the UK access to mRNA vaccines for various respiratory diseases and will have an adjoining biomarker laboratory built in Northumberland.
