India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that New Delhi and Washington will enhance their cooperation on building a "reliable" and "resilient" supply chain in the "midst of global uncertainty."

"India-US relationship is not only important for both the nations but also for the world," Modi said during the press briefing with United States President Joe Biden at the White House. "Even sky is not the limit for India-US ties," the prime minister went on to say, stressing that Washington is India's "biggest" trade partner.

Modi also welcomed America's decision to open new consulates in Bengaluru and Ahmedabad, disclosing that India will open its new consular office in Seattle. Additionally, India's prime minister formally invited Biden to attend the September G20 summit in New Delhi.
