Montenegro's parliament passed a vote of no confidence in the government of Dritan Abazovich (pictured) on Saturday, with 50 out of 51 deputies voting against him.
The vote was called by Former President Milo Djukanovic, following the signing of a contract between the state and the Serbian Orthodox Church on August 3, which, among other things, is supposed to regulate the church's real estate ownership rights. "We will be remembered as the government that lasted the shortest but which made the most difficult decisions," Abazovic said after the vote, adding he is very proud of everything they have managed to do in 100 days.
Those who opposed the contract claimed the government paid little attention to the country's reforms related to its European Union integration, while, on the other hand, it put an emphasis on its ties with the church.
