Vnukovo International Airport temporarily stopped accepting and sending planes, the airport authority told the local media on Tuesday.
The suspension of incoming and outgoing flights was due to "reasons beyond the airport's control." Meanwhile, head of Moscow's Domodedovo district, Evgenia Khrustaleva, said the debris of a drone shot down by Russian air defense "fell on the Kashirskoye highway near the Perekrestok store." The traffic towards Moscow "is temporarily blocked" she wrote.
It is not clear whether the decision is connected to the nighttime drone raid that targeted several urban districts in the Moscow region, leaving one person dead.
