Russian President Vladimir Putin's aide Yury Ushakov told RIA Novosti on Tuesday that Moscow and Tehran did not discuss the topic of drones during Putin's visit.
"The drones were not discussed either with [Iranian] President [Ebrahim Raisi] or with [Iranian] supreme leader [Ayatollah Ali Khamenei]," Ushakov noted.
Previously, the United States claimed that Tehran was planning to send "up to several hundred" drones to Russia "on an expedited timeline," while Iranian officials dismissed the accusations.
