Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova warned Germany on Thursday, during a press briefing, that if its Taurus KEPD-350 missiles are transported to and used by Ukraine, Moscow would see this as Berlin's "direct participation in the conflict."
Previously, German Christian Democratic Union (CDU) leader Friedrich Merz, who is set to become Germany's next chancellor, promised to greenlight the delivery of these missiles to Kiev.
Meanwhile, Rheinmetall AG CEO Armin Papperger told Handelsblatt in an interview that supplying Ukraine with Taurus missiles "won't change anything in the war," adding that "only conventional artillery ammunition can make a difference on the battlefield."
