Russian President Vladimir Putin shared on Monday while appearing on Russia 1 TV channel that Moscow isn't against the European Union taking part in the new negotiations on ending the war in Ukraine.
"They themselves refused to have contact with us. If they want to come back, please do," Putin remarked. He insisted that not only the EU but other countries as well "have the right and can participate" in the settlement, praising initiatives started by the BRICS countries.
He insisted that Europe shouldn't be demanding anything from Russia.
