Billionaire Elon Musk on Friday claimed that the verdict in the hush money trial against former US President Donald Trump seeks to stop people from voting for him in the upcoming presidential elections.

"Yet there is no actual victim in this crime! It is obviously politically motivated, with the goal of undermining democracy by preventing half of America from voting for their preferred candidate," Musk said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Furthermore, musk ensured that he has neither supported Trump financially nor voted for him. "My views on this matter would be the same for any candidate," he concluded.
