United States Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez allegedly claimed that Elon Musk, owner of X, formerly Twitter, used the social media platform to commit "election interference" by "changing the algorithms" to affect the results of the US midterm election in 2022, journalist Tucker Carlson reported.
Carlson said in a post on X that Cortez made the allegation during a classified briefing attended by "officials from the Biden Justice Department" on Tuesday.
Musk replied to Carlson's post, stating that he "made the algorithm open source and neutral to all parties," adding that Cortez's "standards" interpreted his algorithm as "election interference."
