Musk responds to Navarro by calling him 'a moron'

Tesla Inc. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk labeled on Tuesday United States President Donald Trump's Senior Counselor for Trade and Manufacturing Peter Navarro as "truly a moron" after the latter dismissed him as a car seller rather than economist.

"Navarro is truly a moron. What he says here is demonstrably false," he wrote on Twitter under the snippet in which Navarro said that Musk "doesn't understand" how tariffs work as "he sells cars." Furthermore, Musk insisted that Tesla has "the most American-made cars" after Navarro accused it of making most of its vehicles in Asia, slamming the latter as "dumber than a sack of bricks."

Navarro's comments came after Musk stated he would prefer a "zero tariff situation" between the US and Europe after Trump slapped a series of tariffs on the European Union and some other countries on the Old Continent.
