Musk: Twitter signups at all-time high of 2M per day

Twitter Inc. owner Elon Musk shared information about the social media platform showing that new user signups have reached a record high at over 2 million per day in the seven days to November 16, up 66% from the same week in 2021. He also claimed that user active minutes are at an all-time high of 8 billion in the same time period, growing 30% year-on-year.

Global monetizable daily active users reached 253,865,365 in the fourth quarter up to November 20. Meanwhile, Musk said hate speech impressions have declined, while reported impersonations spiked in October and early November, then fell drastically. He touted "Twitter 2.0" as an "everything app," including advertising as entertainment, encrypted direct messages, longform tweets, and a new version of the Blue Verified check mark.
