Billionaire and entrepreneur Elon Musk, who is currently serving in the Trump administration, recommended on Wednesday that the United States government privatize the US Postal Service and Amtrak (the National Railroad Passenger Corporation).
"I think logically we should privatize anything that can reasonably be privatized ... We should try to privatize everything we possibly can, and that would be my recommendation," he commented while virtually attending a Morgan Stanley technology conference.
Talking about Amtrak in particular, Musk mentioned that "it can leave you with a very bad impression of America," adding that when he compares his experience of riding foreign bullet trains, Amtrak "is a sad situation."
