Elon Musk, the owner of X, earlier known as Twitter, announced that the social media platform will soon remove the feature that allows users to block other accounts because it "makes no sense." Still, he noted the feature will remain available for direct messages.
"Block is going to be deleted as a 'feature,' except for DMs," Musk tweeted. "You will still be able to mute accounts and block users for DMs," he explained in a later post.
Currently, X describes the feature as one that "helps you control how you interact with other accounts on Twitter" and " helps people in restricting specific accounts from contacting them, seeing their Tweets, and following them."
