A North Korean delegation headed by Vice Public Security Minister Ri Song-chol headed off to Russia, Yonhap reported on Tuesday, citing a KCNA dispatch.
Even though the one-sentence dispatch did not disclose details on the visit, Russia's embassy in Pyongyang stated that the official aims to meet with Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Russia's internal minister.
The two officials will hold talks on ways in which North Korea could cooperate with Russia in the "law enforcement area."
