N. Korea slams IAEA over 'anti-DPRK' resolution

North Korea's Ministry of Atomic Energy Industry condemned the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)'s resolution which called for the suspension of Pyongyang's nuclear programs. The ministry highlighted that North Korea "rightfully" withdrew from the organization back in 1990, citing the IAEA's open alignment with Washington's "hostile actions" against Pyongyang.

"As long as America's tyrannical nuclear weapons remain on this land and imperialist aggressive forces exist, the status of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea as a nuclear state will remain absolutely unchanged, and we will not tolerate any acts of sovereignty infringement by hostile forces," the ministry's spokesperson said, underlining that the agency's Director-General Rafael Grossi is "taking the lead" in spreading misleading information about North Korea's potential nuclear test.

The ministry called on the organization to shift its focus to solving difficult problems, such as Washington's nuclear proliferation and Japan's discharge of nuclear-contaminated water from the Fukushima nuclear plant.
