N. Korea successfully test-launches new missile

North Korea said it carried out a successful test launch of its latest surface-to-air missile, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) shared.

The KCNA detailed that the country's Missile General Bureau conducted the test launch on March 20 to assess the "combat performance" of the missile that went into "mass production."

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un was present at the site, during the launch. "We will equip our army with another important defensive weapon system with combat performance worthy of boasting about," Kim said during the event.
