North Korea will be resuming its foreign diplomatic activities, as Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un aims to slowly reopen the country, following three years of isolation caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday citing sources with knowledge on the matter.
According to the sources, in the coming months, the country is expected to start with the rotations of its foreign envoys, after a long hiatus during which all diplomatic travel was suspended.
The sources added that in recent times, Pyongyang's diplomats traveled to Vladivostok, Russia and Beijing, China, so as to reaffirm ties with the country's closest allies.
