North Korea reaffirmed its plan to stockpile its nuclear arsenal further, stating that its nuclear weapons are not bargaining chips but were intended for use in combat against enemies attempting to invade the country, according to KCNA.
"Our nuclear force is not something that can be advertised to earn recognition from anybody and not even a bargaining chip that can be exchanged for a mere sum of money," the KCNA said, adding that the "country's nuclear force is invariably for real combat use in a bid to swiftly cut out the origin of any invasion attempt by hostile forces that infringe upon the country's sovereign right and people's safety, and threaten regional peace."
These statements were made in response to the White House's reaffirmation of its policy of "complete denuclearization" of Pyongyang under United States President Donald Trump's administration.
