Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar said on Sunday that the country's army is engaging in "fierce fighting" with Russian forces throughout the country.
Maliar said in a Telegram post that Russia is making advances in several directions, including Avdiivka, Marinka and Lymanske.
Meanwhile, she noted the Ukrainian army is also gradually advancing in its counteroffensive in the directions of Berdyansk and Melitopol. "Our troops face intense enemy resistance, remote mining, overturning of reserves, but persistently and unceasingly create conditions for the fastest forward movement," Maliar said.
