NATO chief: Russia, Iran regimes becoming closer

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stressed on Monday that Moscow and Tehran regimes have become "closer" over the past period.

"Russia is now more dependent on drones from Iran. They are built in a new factory in Russia based on Iranian drone technology. In return, Russia is providing advanced technology to Iran," Stoltenberg said during the joint press briefing with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, adding that this demonstrates how much "authoritarian regimes" have aligned with each other.

"The only answer to that is that NATO allies, all of those countries who believe in democracy, have to stand together as we do in NATO," Stoltenberg noted.
