North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced on Wednesday that the alliance is planning to make its mechanism support for Ukraine "long-term," insisting that it is not "charity," but in the group's "own interest."
Speaking at the opening meeting of the NATO's summit in Washington DC, Stoltenberg said that the organization will increase its support for the conflict-hit country by, among other things, establishing coordination, security assistance, and training centers for it.
Furthermore, Stoltenberg confirmed NATO's determination to maintain peace in the Indo-Pacific amid what the alliance perceives as threats represented by China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea.
