North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secretary General Mark Rutte said on Tuesday that Russia's ties with North Korea, Iran and China "pose a direct threat" to the United States mainland, Europe and the Indo-Pacific region, including South Korea and Japan.
"Russia working together with North Korea, Iran and China ... it threatens peace and security, here in Europe, but also in the Indo-Pacific and in North America," Rutte added during a press conference alongside French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris. "We must stand together - Europe, North America and our global partners ... We must do more than just keep Ukraine in the fight."
"For the security of our citizens, we need a strong Ukraine, a strong Europe and a strong alliance," Macron stressed while urging Western countries to intensify their assistance to Ukraine in its ongoing fight against Russia.
