Nasdaq plans to offer 24-hour trading Monday through Friday on its equities exchange, the second-largest US exchange operator's President Tal Cohen announced on Friday.
"We are excited to share that Nasdaq has begun engaging with regulators, market participants and other key stakeholders, with a view of enabling 24-hour trading five days a week on the Nasdaq Stock Market," Cohen said in a post on LinkedIn.
The stock market expects to start round-the-clock trading in the second half of 2026, pending regulatory approval.
