Navarro: Market drop 'no big deal'

United States President Donald Trump's Senior Counselor for Trade and Manufacturing, Peter Navarro, sought to calm market fears in a Thursday interview with CNN.

Dismissing the day's market plunge, which sent Dow to trade 2,000 points down at one moment, Navarro reassured that the drop "is no big deal," while the yields coming down is "great news." The counselor thus echoed the sentiment previously shared by President Donald Trump.

"India, Australia, and the United Kingdom are all coming in. We're going to get deals," Navarro added, expressing confidence in future trade developments regardless of the ongoing standoff.
