Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said on Tuesday that Germany, Sweden and Denmark rejected Russia's proposal on the probe into the Nord Stream case.
"These countries claim that the Russian authorities are being informed of the ongoing sabotage investigation. This is completely untrue," he stated in a letter addressed to the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, UN Security Council and UN General Assembly.
Nebenzya noted that although Moscow offered the three countries to create "joint investigation teams," the efforts were refused. He underlined that an international probe into the case, "under the auspice of the UN," is needed.
