Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday praised the United States for vetoing the UN Security Council's draft resolution advocating a ceasefire in Gaza.

Netanyahu asserted that Washington was "correct" to use its veto powers and urged other nations to recognize the necessity of supporting Israel's campaign against Hamas. In light of this, Netanyahu declares Israel's commitment to its "justified war aimed at eliminating Hamas."

The US decision triggered a global backlash, with numerous countries and independent organizations expressing their disapproval of the move.
