Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and United States President Donald Trump agreed to end the Gaza war swiftly and to expand the Abraham Accords after the US attacks on Iran, Israel Hayom reported on Thursday, citing sources briefed on the matter.
According to the report, the two leaders agreed that the war in Gaza should end within two weeks following the US strikes. Additionally, four Arab countries, including Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, should take over governing Gaza instead of Hamas, and Gazans who want to leave Gaza would be received by several countries in the world, the sources said.
Furthermore, Netanyahu and Trump planned to include new countries, including Syria and Saudi Arabia, in the Abraham Accords, and Israel would support a two-state solution, conditioned on reforms made by the Palestinian Authority. The US, for its part, committed to recognizing Israel's sovereignty in some parts of the West Bank, according to the media outlet.
