Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (pictured) praised on Friday the International Court of Justice's (ICJ) ruling on South Africa's case against his country. The decision requires Israel to utilize all available means to prevent any acts of genocide during its military campaign against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. However, the court did not demand a complete cessation of the military operation.
"Israel's commitment to international law is unwavering. Equally unwavering is our sacred commitment to continue to defend our country and defend our people...The vile attempt to deny Israel this fundamental right is blatant discrimination against the Jewish state, and it was justly rejected," Netanyahu wrote on X.
Netanyahu emphasized once again that Israel will "continue to do what is necessary" to defend itself against Hamas and reiterated that his country's war "is against Hamas terrorists, not against Palestinian civilians."
