Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was admitted to a hospital due to suspected dehydration but he remains in good condition, according to a statement by his office, obtained by CNN.

Initial tests came back normal, and Netanyahu is reported to be doing well.

The hospitalization coincides with a heatwave affecting Israel, with temperatures nearing around 40 degrees Celsius.
