Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to travel to Washington next week to meet United States President Donald Trump, Walla News reported on Monday.

According to the media outlet's Israeli and American sources, the meeting primarily depends on Netanyahu's health. If the visit takes place, the prime minister will be the first foreign leader invited to the White House since Trump's inauguration.

The move comes following a series of developments in US-Israel relations including Trump authorizing the delivery of 900-kilogram bombs to Israel and US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth vowing "to stand shoulder to shoulder" with the Levantine nation.
