Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday that Hamas has eased its ultimatum regarding the release of the hostages held by the militant group in the Gaza Strip.
Speaking to the families of the captives, Netanyahu claimed that negotiations to liberate the hostages are underway and that talks with Hamas representatives "are currently taking place."
Previously, Hamas' senior political leader Ismail Haniyeh stressed that Israeli hostages will "only be released on terms set by the resistance."
