The number of subscriptions to Netflix Inc.'s streaming service soared after the company expanded its changed rule that disables users from sharing their accounts outside their household to more than 100 countries, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported on Friday, citing the data from analytics firm Antenna.
According to that information, Netflix garnered more new users between May 25 and 28 than in any other four-day period since Antenna's count began in 2019.
Recently, Netflix experienced a surge in the value of its shares after its new ad-supported and lower-priced tier amassed five million users.
