Netflix shares soar over 10% after strong earnings report

Netflix shares surged on Tuesday after the company reported higher-than-expected earnings and a significant milestone of surpassing 300 million paid subscribers.

The company reported earnings per share of $4.27, exceeding analyst estimates of $4.20, and revenue of $10.25 billion, beating expectations of $10.11 billion. Netflix's subscriber count reached 301.63 million, significantly outpacing forecasts of 290.9 million.

At 4:06 pm ET, Netflix's shares jumped 10.66% to sell at $962.
