Netflix and CBS Sports reached a deal on Friday that will enable the latter to produce two National Football League (NFL) games the American streaming service will carry for Christmas this year.
The deal will allow CBS Sports to receive a fee for the two matches and run promotional spots during Netflix's streaming of the games. The NFL contract will cover Christmas games for the next three seasons, but it is not yet clear whether Netflix will carry one or multiple games heading into the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
"CBS has consistently proven itself to be a best-in-class partner," said Brandon Rigg, Netflix's vice president for nonfiction series and sports.
