No injuries reported after Israeli interceptor missile fails

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it is launching a probe after an interceptor missile seemingly malfunctioned while attempting to down a drone fired from Iraq.

"During the interception of the unmanned aircraft in the Eilat area a short time ago, several interceptors were launched towards the target, one of the interceptors fell in the area," the IDF said after social media users shared footage that appeared to show the interceptor missile falling back down to the ground after a short flight.

The IDF said it received no reports of injuries. The Home Front Command stated that the incident has ended.
