Twitter Inc. will not be pursuing any more job cuts and is switching to recruitment, the company's Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk said, according to The Verge.
Speaking at a meeting with all employees, Musk encouraged the staff to make referrals, specifying that the social media platform is looking to fill in roles in engineering and sales, the website reports, citing people familiar with the matter.
The account comes on the heels of the Wall Street Journal's article published yesterday, which stated that the billionaire intends to further reduce Twitter's workforce in the sales department. The American media reported that hundreds of Twitter employees quit in November following Musk's remarks to commit to "long hours at high intensity" or leave.
