United Kingdom Health Minister Gillian Keegan stated on Thursday that the government doesn't intend to introduce new restrictions ahead of the Christmas holidays.
Keegan noted that people need to make a "sensible choice" before attending parties or larger social gatherings, adding that they should also take tests before and after going to such events.
Keegan's comments come in the wake of the UK recording the highest number of daily coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic, with officials labeling the Omicron variant as the "greatest threat to public health."
