North Korea slams US criticism of alleged violations

North Korea criticized the United States for its condemnation of human rights violations within its borders, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), citing a spokesperson for North Korea's foreign affairs ministry.

The US State Department's release of the report highlighted various abuses endured by North Koreans, including forced repatriations and extrajudicial killings.

The spokesperson dismissed the US report as interference in internal affairs, asserting that the report was merely a pretext for meddling and undermining North Korea's system.
