Northrop: New deal reached with US Air Force on ICBMs

Northrop Grumman Corporation CEO Kathy Warden (pictured) revealed during a conference call on Tuesday that an agreement between the company and the United States Air Force regarding the new Sentinel intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) program baseline was reached.

She detailed that the work on "most aspects" of the command and launch part of the program continues. Earlier, the firm shared its latest earnings results. Year over year, sales grew 1% to $10.4 billion, while net earnings soared 25% to $1.2 billion and diluted earnings per share surged 28% to $8.15.

The firm's stock reached an all-time high of $567.1234 per share earlier today. The shares jumped 8.56%, going for $559.4176 apiece at 9:52 am ET.
