Norway will allocate 1.6 billion Norwegian kroner (~€140 million) to supply more artillery ammunition for Ukraine, the country's Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere (pictured) told NTB on Thursday.
The prime minister disclosed that the move comes in coordination with the Czech Republic's initiative to provide up to one million 155 mm artillery shells, a NATO-standard shell caliber, and other types of artillery ammunition to Ukraine.
Earlier this week, French President Emmanuel Macron decided to join Prague's ammunition procurement plan. Czech President Petr Pavel disclosed during the Munich Security Conference last month that his country was seeking financial support to acquire 800,000 units of artillery ammunition intended for delivery to Ukraine.
