Novartis is planning to cut up to 1,400 jobs in Switzerland, Tages-Anzeiger reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, the Swiss pharmaceutical giant informed its 11,600 employees in the country that 12% of its staff in the country will lose their jobs over the next three years.
The company is also said to be planning to lay off 8,000 of its 108,000 employees worldwide in an effort to cut costs by about $1 billion.
