Nvidia's latest advancement in artificial intelligence technology, the Blackwell B200 AI chip, is expected to be priced between $30,000 and $40,000, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang shared on Tuesday in an interview with CNBC.

"We had to invent some new technology to make it possible," said Huang during the interview with CNBC's Squawk on the Street, referring to running large AI models. He also stated that the processor's R&D budget totaled around $10 billion.

The development comes a day after the launch of the Blackwell B200, which is expected to deliver a massive leap in AI performance, offering 20 petaflops compared to the four petaflops of its predecessor, the H100.
