Nvidia CEO arrives in Beijing amid US chip export tensions

EPA-EFE/ALLISON DINNER

Nvidia Chief Executive Jensen Huang arrived in Beijing on Thursday, according to a Chinese state-affiliated social media account, Yuyuan Tantian.

The visit comes during heightened US export restrictions on Nvidia's H20 data center GPUs. Recently, the company disclosed in a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing that it would lose $5.5 billion in sales due to the tariff restrictions.

While Huang's agenda in China has not been disclosed, his visit raises questions about Nvidia's regional business strategy.
