Nvidia Corporation Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang underscored on Monday that artificial intelligence represents the beginning of "a new industrial revolution," adding that countries worldwide should find a way to encourage its development, and not fear it.
"Every country needs to own the production of their own [artificial] intelligence," Huang told the World Governments Summit in Dubai, stressing the importance of countries controlling their data and non-reliance on outside sources. "The rest of it is really up to you to take initiative, activate your industry, build the infrastructure, as fast as you can," he added.
"There are some interests to scare people about this new technology, to mystify this technology, to encourage other people to not do anything about that technology and rely on them to do it," the Nvidia co-founder said.
