Nvidia reported on Wednesday a record $30 billion in revenue for the second quarter of fiscal 2025, marking a 122% rise from last year. According to the company, the surge was fueled by data center revenue, also at a record, reaching $26.3 billion, up 16% from the first quarter.

Moreover, net income surged 168% to $16.5 billion, or $0.67 per diluted share. The company also returned $15.4 billion to shareholders and received authorization for an additional $50 billion in share repurchases. Despite these results, in terms of outlook, the company said it expects third-quarter revenue of around $32.5 billion, plus or minus 2%, slightly below expectations.

"Blackwell samples are shipping to our partners and customers. Spectrum-X Ethernet for AI and Nvidia AI Enterprise software are two new product categories achieving significant scale, demonstrating that NVIDIA is a full-stack and data center-scale platform," Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of Nvidia, said.

The company's stock declined around 4% in the after-hours trading.
