Nvidia Corporation announced on Tuesday that it is launching a new compact generative artificial intelligence supercomputer, NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Super Developer Kit, for $249, starting today.

The company stated that the new product has 1.7 times better generative AI performance than its predecessor and its memory bandwidth was increased by 50% to 102 gigabytes per second. The developer kit contains a reference carrier board and a Jetson Orin Nano 8 gigabyte system-on-module (SoM), which is equipped with an NVIDIA Ampere architecture GPU with tensor cores and a six-core Arm CPU. The SoM also supports up to four cameras with higher resolution and frame rates than its predecessors.

"Jetson Orin Nano Super is suited for those interested in developing skills in generative AI, robotics or computer vision. As the AI world is moving from task-specific models into foundation models, it also provides an accessible platform to transform ideas into reality," the company said in the press release.
