World oil demand growth forecast for 2025 remains at 1.3 million barrels per day (bpd), the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) said in its monthly report on Tuesday. In the OECD region, oil demand is projected to grow by 0.1 million bpd compared to 2024, mostly due to OECD Americas. In the non-OECD area, oil demand is forecast to grow by 1.2 million bpd, driven largely by China, India and other Asian countries.

OPEC revised its 2026 global oil demand growth forecast by 0.1 million bpd to 1.4 million bpd. The organization based the projection on expectations of better economic performance in OECD America, OECD Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In the OECD region, demand is expected to grow by 0.2 million bpd, while the non-OECD region should add 1.2 million bpd.
